This workshop will build on this year’s earlier workshop (which introduced 3 new weapons) techniques of 3 weapons. Students will learn more detail about each weapon and will drill a short part from a form associated with each weapon.
You will need to bring your own fan. Other weapons will be provided on the day.
This workshop is suitable for all Choy Lee Fut students — including beginners and those who haven’t been to the 1st weapons workshop earlier this year.

Nine Ring Big Sabre
(Gau Waan Daai Dou – 九環大刀)
A Yang energy, two-handed long range weapon, characterised by whirlwind movements created by the momentum of the heavily weighted blade.
Spear
(Cheung – 槍)
A long-range Yin energy weapon. Internal power is generated from smooth movement and using softness to overcome hard power.
Fan
(Sin – 扇)
A Yin energy close range weapon, used to strike pressure points to stun the opponent. Characterised by the elements of wind, rain and lightning.
