Child Protection

Please find below the details about the Sydney school’s child protection, as well as how parents can assist:

1. We follow the 10 Child Safe Standards for our teaching and make all instructors/assistants aware of them
2. We are mandated by law to report any allegation of abuse or neglect and to investigate any instances/allegations of bullying, discrimination, harassment or suspicious behaviour.
3. All instructors/assistants to the children’s class have a current Working With Children Check.
4. To assist with our instructors’ supervision of students, please drop off your child(ren) before class starts and come back to pick them up no later than the end of class.
5. The bathrooms have been equipped with signs to inform adults not to use the bathrooms when children are using them. We’d appreciate it if you can explain this to your child(ren) – the easiest thing is if they close the main door to the toilet as they go in.
6. For privacy reasons, we ask that you do not take any photos or videos of any other students in the class without their express consent. If you’re taking any footage of your child(ren), you may need to edit/crop others out.
7. If you have any complaints, would like to report an incident or have any suggestions, please reach out to our Child Protection Officer by emailing [email protected]. This position is currently filled by Crystal Chu, a Tiger Disciple.
8. We review our approach to child protection on a regular basis. If there are any updates, we will update this page and notify parents.
